Beast Morphers 16 - "Gorilla Art"

UK Premiere Airdate: 28 November 2019

Ravi sits his saber on the desk then takes his secret painting out of it's hiding place, but when he is putting it back later his saber has vanished and the items on the table have either moved or have been replaced with another item. When Ravi does leave he picks up his saber from a different table.

When Ravi takes out his painting from it's hiding place it's more complete than it is a few seconds later when he is actually painting it.

When Ben and Betty find Smash painting a wall in the park they leave their X-Bike on the grass, But when the others arrive less than two minutes later the X-Bike is gone. Smash was busy painting and Ben and Betty rolled down a hill then fell into the water, So who took their bike?

As Smash paints the wall in the park he manages to teleport over to his table between two consecutive shots.

Betty's communicator has a green ring around it's screen just like Commander Shaw's in Episode 5: "Taking Care of Business". As the rangers have their own colour on their communicators does this mean that anybody with a green communicator is not a ranger?

You can briefly see Betty's stunt double as she and Ben roll down the hill after they tried to operate a fire hose.

Great stunt performed by the stunt team that starts with both of them low to the ground then they manage to not only jump up but also jump forward enough to actually land in the water, nice. I hope they only had to do it once as the water looks cold.

As Smash is painting the wall in the park a section of the blue paint disappears during a close up a few seconds later. Obviously this shot was filmed first.

Smash is holding two paint brushes when Turbotron kidnaps him, but they disappear 10 seconds later as the red ranger saves him.

Just before Vargoyle sends Blaze and Roxy flying with a punch you get to see Blaze's stunt double. Always nice to see the stunt performers who do such great stunts.

Zoey holds Ravi's painting with one hand, but in the very next shot not only is she holding it with both hands but Devon is also holding it too.

Its fun watching this scene of the silver ranger and Vargoyle talking as they're both voiced by the same person, Jamie Linehan. Nicely done.

When the blue ranger arrives in his zord you can see the logo of their three animals on the side of it, but in the very next shot which shows a CGI version transforming the logo is now facing in the opposite direction meaning that this shot has been horizontally flipped to match the first shot. Another way to tell its been flipped is the small 'GT-02' text (the same code that's on the wall in the zord's hanger) at the top of the zord is also backwards. This is the only time this CGI transforming shot appears in the whole season and appears exactly the same In the original Japanese episode this footage was taken from, so why was it flipped? Well it was actually shown correctly in a previous Japanese episode that hasn't been used for Beast Morphers and since they needed a shot of the zord facing left the easiest thing to do was to flip a shot they already had, thus saving time as they didn't need to render a new CGI shot.

As the rangers are cleaning the paint off the wall you can see that the paint on the table changes between these two consecutive shots.

After cleaning the paint off the wall Betty says "All done", but as the camera turns as Ben thanks the others for their help you can clearly see that they're not done.
